The Use of Pre-Reading Strategy in Teaching Reading Comprehension

This study aims to find out the kinds of pre-reading strategy used by teacher and how apply in teaching reading comprehension. The formulated problems this were: (1) What strategies are teacher? (2) How is a applied for comprehension? research was conducted through qualitative research. type specifically case study. participants were 33 students one English at ninth-grade SMPN 1 Mancak, Serang. Observations interviews collect data. findings indicated teachers several strategies, such as brainstorming, pre-teaching vocabulary, pre-questioning, previews.
